At the 2025 Mansfield Readers & Writers Festival, I convened a panel with bestselling authors, Marg Hickey (An Ill Wind), Sulari Gentill (Five Found Dead) and Mark Smith (Three Boys Gone) about writing thriller and crime novels. ‘Does the place or the people drive their narrative?
